Spent quite a bit of time on this one. It is a collection of ambient tracks based on a similar theme to that of classic composer, Ferde Grofe,'s Grand Canyo Suite, done in the early/mid 1900's. This one, of course, is no comparison to that great work, but defifiniely inspired/influenced. It ought to be noted that I have never been to the Gand Canyons, but that I would surely love to do that, at some point. Nonetheless, the vistas as replicated in photos, and film, do invoke a sense of grandeur that I have to imagine would be even more enhanced by actually 'being there'.

Ours is a world that has often been disturbed by conflicts throughout the generations, many of which would have us confuse as to who we are, what we are, in terms of being human. This present time is no exception, and, of course, you have to watch what you say 'about things' found to be 'morally objectionable', and it is a fact that there are those who would like to censor thought, censor freedom of speech, and those would be the ones who wish to have all under their control, and thus, leaving no room for debate...and definitely no room for critical thinking. I have to wonder, now, how can that, and how will that affect the creative process? Whatever the case, I can't help thinking how nice it is and can be to fill up a backpack and just head off down a wilderness trail, get away from it all for a bit, and, hopefully, rediscover who you are, as a person, and perhaps redefine what really matters in this life we are living.

I definitely love making electronic music, but I also still love to listen to the classics of former times, to composers such as Ferde Grofe, Aaron Copeland, Erik Satie, Leonard Bernstein. So, this collection to be considered, at least by myself, as a tribute of sorts to those early wonderful composers...and that, I think, is all I can say about this release.

for we who think of ourselves as artists would essentially be nothing without an audience,
so yes, definitely thank you,
